Agenda Item #19

Item Title
Approve Irrevocable Dedication of Tynes Parkway right-of-way to the BCC and transfer of ownership of drainage ponds

Issue/Rationale

Tynes Parkway is currently owned by the School Board of Clay County, Florida.  This action irrevocably dedicates the road right-of-way to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and transfers ownership of the retention ponds east of the road to the developer (Nassau Timber & Investment, LLC).  This will allow continuation of the road and development to the north of Tynes Elementary.

The developer will make improvements to the roadway as required by the BCC, and the School District will be relieved of responsibility for the maintenance of the retention ponds and the road.

Recommended Action

Approve the execution of the irrevocable dedication of that portion of Tynes Parkway owned by the School Board of Clay County to the Board of County Commissioners, Clay County, Florida, as a public right-of-way.

Financial Impact
None.
